ONTOS (“the thing” in Greek) is a pure field knife, tough and heavyweight despite its compact size. The serrated segment on the back of the blade is meant as a back-up, never to be caught without a sharp edge ready for use. The MOLLE compatible nylon thigh sheath stays on even in the event of a retreat, when a soldier would drop most of his cumbersome primary equipment. A MOLLE-system pocket fastened to the sheath holds a survival kit – making the ONTOS even more of a survival tool – plus a glow stick (duration: 12 hours) and a diamond plate blade-sharpener. Survival kit includes: water container, water purification tablets, nylon cord, button compass, candle, flint & fire striker, fishing kit, multi-tool, matches, sewing kit, single edge razor, signal mirror, whistle, snare wire, wire saw, pencil, and an English language survival handbook.<\/p>\n
